 Hello, My name is Kelly Adam and I am happy to be back at Silver Maple.
After a two-year absence I am pleased to be back at Silver Maple as the Kennel Manager. During my absence I spent sometime in Oklahoma with my younger sister and then spent a year and a half as the Kennel Supervisor at the Lehigh County Humane Society. My time spent away taught me that even in this day in age some members of our society see animals strictly as property instead of as a member of the family. With that said I promise to see to it that while your pets spent time in the kennel while you are away they will be treated as if they are members of our family.
While away from Silver Maple I added a member to my family when I adopted an American Staffordshire Terrier from the Humane Society in Feb. of 2007. Her name is Ally, she is now 1½ years old, and she is mostly white with 2 brown spots. She is one of the best things to happen to me while I was away. She is always waiting to greet me when I get home and is just a joy to have around. She just loves everybody including other dogs, cats and kids.
Of course I also still have my cat, Pasha, who I adopted from Silver Maple in Jan. 2004. She is FIV positive but remains healthy and happy 4 years after she was diagnosed. She made the trip with me to Oklahoma where she made friends with my sister’s beagle and found out how much fun a laser pointer can be. She actually received a laser pointer from my brother in law as a going away present and has had many hours of fun chasing it around the house. While enjoying chasing the laser she has also lost weight a bonus we are both happy about.
I am looking forward to seeing old kennel customers as well as welcoming new kennel customers.
