"We are proud of our staff, we appreciate their good work,
and we realize that they are essential to the clinic."

Annemarie Yoder, DVM, CVA
Dr. Yoder’s professional interests include equine medicine & surgery, small animal medicine and specifically blending Eastern and Western medicine to provide optimum care for our patients.
When not practicing, Annmarie enjoys working – whether it is on their 88 acre farm providing their own food, enjoying her Haflinger and Percheron horses or baking some treats.
Renewable Energy and sustainable living are also a large personal interest so in 2005 with Dr. Sam she helped found the non-profit organization Mid Atlantic Renewable Energy Association. She was a driving force behind promoting and organizing the first and second Pennsylvania Renewable Energy & Sustainable Living Festival, a hugely successful educational resource for the eastern seaboard in this field. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her two budding animal enthusiast daughters, Rachel and Emma..

Elizabeth Ballard Lopez, VMD

We are very pleased to welcome the addition of Elizabeth Ballard Lopez, VMD, as an Associate Veterinarian on the staff of Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic.
Elizabeth was born and raised in Hershey, PA. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Animal Science, she attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania and is a 2003 graduate.
Elizabeth then completed an equine medicine and surgery internship in Scottsdale, Arizona. From there she proceeded to Texas A&M University where she completed one year of a large animal internal medicine residency. After deciding that the academic environment was not her style, she moved to the Texas panhandle where her husband, Mark, was a practicing dairy veterinarian. She was employed for the past 2 years as a mixed animal practitioner in the rural town of Dalhart. During this time, Elizabeth was active in providing veterinary services to the local dog shelter and raising public awareness about the benefits of spaying and neutering dogs and cats.
Elizabeth’s professional interests include curbing the pet overpopulation problem, equine medicine, small animal surgery, ultrasonography, and pathology. She also enjoys good food, good friends, and good music including that of her husband’s band. She likes riding her Haflinger, spending time with her 3 dogs and 4 cats, and taking in the scenery from the back of Mark’s BMW motorcycle.
